Wide, white, and never crowded the way the hotel beaches are. A paved trail runs the length of the island if you want to walk or bike it.
2-min walkThe south end of Treasure Island, where the Gulf and the Intracoastal are a couple of blocks apart and the beach bar is a walk home.

Sunset Beach is the south tip of Treasure Island, down by Blind Pass where the island runs out and St. Pete Beach starts. It's a few blocks wide. The Gulf is on one side, the Intracoastal is on the other, and most houses are within a short walk of both. That's the whole appeal, and it's rarer than it sounds.
It feels different from the middle of the island. No high-rise hotels. Beach cottages, a lot of new elevated houses going up where the old ones were, and a beach that mostly belongs to the people who live or stay here. Sunset is the local event. People walk down to the sand for it every night.
If you've been to Pass-a-Grille, a few minutes south, you know the setup: Intracoastal and beach a couple of blocks apart, old Florida feel, walk to a bar. Sunset Beach is that, not as polished yet, and quieter for it.

WalkThe rental sits on the Intracoastal side of Sunset Beach with its own dock, and the Gulf beach a two-minute walk the other way. It was built this year, elevated to current FEMA standards, which matters here more than most places: this end of the island took water in the 2024 storms, and the houses going up now are built so that doesn't happen again. The living space is on the second and third floors. The garage is underneath.
Four bedrooms, three kings and a queen, sleeps eight. A 50-foot covered balcony on the water, a dock that fits a 40-foot boat, and no bridge between you and the Gulf.
